Yoshimitsu
Yamada Sensei:
Yoshimitsu Yamada, Aikido's eight dan. Burn in february
17 of 1938, in Tokio, Japan. He study at Aoyama Gakuin
University. En 1955 was accepted as Uchideshi (resident
student) at Hombu Dojo, to learn Aikido with O'Sensei.
It took the aikido one to the United States in 1964, for
the World-wide Fair in New York. In order to spread this
art, it made numerous demonstrations in television. It
has developed the greatest and successful school of Aikido
in that country, New York Aikikai; that it comprises of
United States Aikido Federation (USAF), being his President
and Technical Director. Also, it is member of the Superior
Council of the Federation the International of Aikido
and President of the Latin American Federation of Aikido
(FLA), that reunites to near 400 dojos of the countries
of South America and the Caribbean.
He is the author of Aikido Complete and has made multiple
aikido training tapes, DVDs and books.
Yamada Sensei is well known for his clear and strong basic
technique. He teaches seminars all over the world where
thousands of students attend his classes.
